Andrew Newland, PE
Andrew has more than 10 years of experience in both cold-formed steel manufacturing and design. Currently, he is a Principal and the Specialty Structural Team Leader for ADTEK’s Charlottesville, VA and Bay City, MI offices which specialize in the design of load bearing and non-load bearing cold-formed steel framing.
Andrew is a member of the ASCE-SEI Committee on Cold-Formed Structures and has participated in the development of the design guide “Best Current Practices for Cold-Formed Steel Connections to Other Materials.” He is a member of the AISI Committee on Specifications. He is also a member and the past Chair of the CFSEI Executive Committee where he also serves as chair to the Technology Committee overseeing the development of CFSEI Tech Notes. Andrew is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he earned his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering.
