There are 12 classes of SFIA membership, each with specific requirements that must be met. Article IV.1 of the SFIA Bylaws contains the requirements for eligibility. Equipment or Fastener or Tool Manufacturer Member. Any individual, partnership, firm, corporation, or entity regularly engaged in manufacturing equipment and/or fasteners or tools on the North American continent for use by the cold-formed steel framing industry is eligible to become an Equipment and Tool Manufacturer Member of SFIA only if it meets the following terms and conditions: (1) Must be engaged in manufacturing equipment and/or tools on the North American continent for use in the cold-formed steel framing industry. (2) Must have been active in manufacturing equipment and/or tools for a minimum of one year. (3) Must submit a current copy of product literature. (4) Must abide by the Code of Ethics as approved by the Board of Directors.

Don Allen Ready to Lead
SFIA's new ED begins Aug. 1
Don Allen, P.E., S.E., LEED AP, is the Steel Framing Industry Association’s (SFIA) new executive director on August 1. Allen succeeds Larry Williams, who is retiring. Allen says he is "excited to work and partner with the SFIA staff and leadership team" to grow the steel framing market.
